What to expect
We speak with each new client (or client-parent/guardian) to gain a brief understanding of your concerns and goals, to make sure our service is appropriate to your needs.
After booking your first appointment, you will be emailed a secure link to complete an intake form. By updating your details before your first visit, you can make the most of your appointment time.
For clients 13 years and younger, the initial appointment is most typically parent(s)/guardian(s)-only. This structure allows parents/guardians to express their concerns freely and for the therapist to collect necessary background information.
MEDICARE REBATES & FEES
Under the Government’s Better Access Initiative, individuals are able to access mental health services with Medicare registered providers and receive a Medicare rebate. Eligible participants are able to receive 6 to 10 sessions per calendar year (Jan to Dec).
We can provide Medicare rebated appointments where a client is under a current Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and has a valid referral from their GP.
Appointment fees and rebate amounts will vary based on the type of service provided, and the length of the appointment. Generally speaking, the rebate will cover around 50%-60% of the fee.
How do I claim the rebate?
After you have paid your account in full, you will be issued with an invoice receipt. Use this to lodge a claim to Medicare either online (including the Medicare mobile app) or in person.
NATION DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)
